Can This Product Model Fit Your Requirement?

Use this table for initial screening. Every project remains custom and requires a confirmed production specification.

Parameter Configurable direction / buyer input
Material Greyboard wrapped with printed, kraft, textured or selected specialty paper
Structure Hinged book-style rigid box with concealed magnetic closure and optional inner platform
Size Custom internal dimensions developed from the product, insert, finger clearance and wrap construction
Capacity / load Defined by board, box span, insert support, closure layout and total packed weight
Printing Printed wrap using CMYK or Pantone-oriented workflow depending on artwork and paper
Finishing Foil, embossing, debossing, spot UV, lamination and selected specialty papers
MOQ Our standard MOQ is 500 pieces per design, size and style. Smaller orders of 200–499 pieces may be considered for selected packaging structures, but the unit price will be significantly higher due to fixed setup and production costs. MOQ may be higher for machine-made paper bags and certain specialized products.
Evidence Order-relevant material or compliance documents are confirmed only after the exact specification, use and destination are known.

06 · COMMERCIAL & DELIVERY PLANNING

What Buyers Should Confirm Before Ordering

These model-specific decisions affect quotation accuracy, sampling, bulk production and shipment planning.

MOQ Factors

Greyboard thickness, wrap paper, magnet layout, insert material, finish complexity, hand-assembly steps and the number of artwork versions all affect the practical MOQ review.

Sampling Focus

A structural sample should confirm lid alignment, opening angle, magnetic closing force, insert fit and product removal. A printed sample is recommended when wrap color, foil, embossing or edge registration is decision-critical.

Mass Production Flow

Approved materials and artwork are released to printing, board cutting, wrapping, magnet placement, insert production, final assembly and specification-based inspection. Color and finish approvals should be documented before bulk assembly.

Flat-Packed Or Assembled

Magnetic rigid boxes are normally shipped assembled because the wrapped greyboard structure is not collapsible. Inner protection, master-carton strength, packing orientation and shipment volume should be reviewed before quotation.

Information Needed For A Useful Quote

Send the product set, dimensions and weight, preferred internal box size if known, insert requirement, quantity by artwork, wrap/finish references, delivery country and postcode, packing preference and required delivery date.

MODEL-SPECIFIC BUYING GUIDE

How Magnetic Rigid Box Construction Changes The Buying Decision

A magnetic rigid box is a wrapped greyboard structure, not a folding carton. Board cutting, wrap alignment, corner finishing and concealed magnet position all influence the final opening action and presentation.

Greyboard and wrapped-paper construction

The box body is built from cut greyboard pieces and covered with printed or specialty paper. Board thickness, box span, wrap paper and edge treatment must be assessed together; a thicker board alone does not guarantee a better result.

Book-style, hinged and foldable magnetic formats

A conventional book-style box is supplied formed and gives a rigid opening experience. A foldable magnetic box uses hinged panels and adhesive corners so it can ship flatter, but its assembly method, visible joints and final feel must be approved from a sample.

Magnet position and closing feel

Magnet count, polarity, distance from the wrapped surface and lid alignment influence how the box closes. The intended opening force and lid landing point should be checked on a physical sample rather than judged from artwork.

Insert selection

EVA supports precise cavities; flocked EVA adds a softer visible surface; foam suits lighter presentation needs; paperboard inserts support an all-paper direction; and thermoformed trays can suit repeated product shapes after material review.

Wrapping, corners and magnet placement

Greyboard cutting, grooving, wrap turn-ins, corner closure, paper tension and magnet positioning are hand-assembly control points. Dark solid wraps and fine metallic details can make alignment or surface variation more visible.

Finishing placement

Foil, embossing, debossing, spot UV and tactile lamination should be positioned with folds, edges, grooves and hand-wrapped areas in mind. Fine registration across a hinge or wrapped edge needs sample confirmation.

Why sampling is normally essential

The sample confirms opening angle, magnetic closure, insert fit, product removal, lid alignment, wrap color and finish placement. These interactions cannot be approved reliably from a flat dieline alone.

MODEL-SPECIFIC COMPARISON

Formed Magnetic Box vs Foldable Magnetic Box

Use this table to narrow the specification. Final suitability still depends on product, dimensions, quantity, packing method and destination.

Decision Formed magnetic rigid box Foldable magnetic box What to confirm
Structure and feel Permanent wrapped greyboard body with a consistently rigid presentation. Hinged panels fold into shape; assembly joints remain part of the construction. Required opening experience, final appearance and acceptable joint visibility.
Packing and freight volume Ships assembled and normally uses more carton volume. Can ship flatter and may reduce packing volume, depending on design and protection. Master-carton quantity, assembly responsibility and destination route.
Packing operation Ready for product insertion after unpacking and inspection. Requires controlled folding and corner fixing before product packing. Available labor, assembly instructions and acceptable packing time.
Premium presentation Best when rigid hand feel and an immediate unboxing experience lead the brief. Useful when shipment volume matters but magnetic opening is still required. Physical sample comparison using the real product and insert.
Cost drivers Greyboard, wrap, magnets, insert, hand assembly and protective packing. Added hinge and adhesive construction plus buyer-side or supplier-side assembly. Compare the complete packed and delivered specification, not empty-box price alone.
07 · BUYER FAQ

Common Questions Before Choosing This Model

Resolve the main commercial and technical questions before requesting a production-ready quotation.

How is this model different from the other Custom Rigid Boxes options?

The main differences are structure, packing volume, opening experience, protection and assembly. Use the comparison above as a first filter, then send your product information so the trade-offs can be reviewed against one specification.

What information is needed for a useful quotation?

Send product dimensions, weight and photos, required packaging size if known, order quantity, artwork status, preferred finish, packing method, delivery country/postcode and target date.

Can dimensions, material and finishing be customized?

Yes. The listed directions are configurable, but the combination must be checked for structural performance, print feasibility, packing efficiency and order quantity before it is confirmed.

Should we make a sample before mass production?

A physical sample is recommended when fit, opening action, insert retention, color, finish registration or packed-product performance is critical. The sample purpose and approval points should be agreed first.

Can you recommend one option if our specification is incomplete?

Yes. Start with product photos, dimensions, packed weight, quantity, destination and one or two visual references. We can identify missing decisions and compare practical directions without treating an early suggestion as a final production specification.
